St. Olaf Childcare Chatter - November 2008

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Our theme for November is THANKFUL. We will concentrate on the phrase, “A thankful heart is a happy heart.” The children will learn about all of the different things that they can be thankful for. We will put the emphasis on non-material items.

All of the children that attended our Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Festival had a great time. Lots of game playing, bouncing and sliding took place.

At the end of October, we said goodbye to a long time employee. Stuart Allinger started with us in January of 2004. Stuart finished his Bachelor’s Degree while working here and has moved to Oregon to finish his education with the goal of becoming a History teacher.

November events include our Canned Food Drive for Lutheran Social Services as well as Thanksgiving Feast parties at the preschool.

In keeping with the theme, we are very thankful at St. Olaf for all of our staff, children and parents. We are very blessed to be able to serve God through our childcare centers. Please keep our ministry in your prayers.
